The Uncontrollable Sphere is an enemy that appears in EarthBound. It is found in the Lumine Hall and the Spiral of Magicant (if the Loaded Dice calls for help).

They are black palette swaps of the Smilin' Sphere with purple mouths, and share the same overworld sprite as well.

- PSI Shield α - The Uncontrollable Sphere tries PSI Shield α, protecting one of the enemies.
- Is attacking - The Uncontrollable Sphere attacks one of the party members, dealing around 50 hit points of damage.
- PSI Fire α/β - The Uncontrollable Sphere tries PK Fire α or β, dealing damage to all party members. Ness and Paula are more resistant to this attack.
- Laughs maniacally - The Uncontrollable Sphere laughs maniacally, making one member feel strange.

- Like Smilin' Spheres, they explode when defeated, causing massive damage to the party.
Trivia[]
- Uncontrollable Spheres have a 1/128 chance of dropping a Broken Antenna, which can be fixed and made into the Gaia Beam, Jeff's ultimate weapon, in which requires Jeff to have 65 IQ to repair.
