    • One, it's Heil. Two, you're looking into things a bit hard.

    • It's definitely a seig heil. Not looking too hard at all, they literally took the time to animate the salute in. The parallels to a dictatorial regime are obvious, so any references to real-life dictators is likely intentional.

    • To me it seems like they are punching the air. I highly doubt that Nintendo would include a Nazi Germany reference.

    • my favourite pig masks are the pigmask colonel and the fierce pork trooper, why:

      1-no weapons,

      2-high rank,

3-MY FAVOURITE SONG IN THE ENTIRE GAME

    • For some context, Nintendo based the Happy Happy Cult on the Aum Shinrikyo cult, who killed people in Tokyo with gas attacks. It has been confirmed in interviews.Aum Shinrikyo's flag was blue, their leader wore blue, and they located their headquarters at a dairy farm. Happy Happy Village was also a farm, with one of the only cows seen in the game. They referenced a real-life cult at the time, what makes it so out of the question that they would reference Nazis in a negative, villainous light?

Good point. Then maybe it was possible that Nintendo was referencing Hitler.
