The Red Weed is a miscellaneous item in EarthBound Beginnings. It is found in Magicant by interacting with a red bush outside where it can be obtained infinitely. This item can be used on the northwestern magic fountain where it will then turn into the Magic Herb.

- A Magicant NPC first hints to the player what Red Weed is used for near the warp point of Magicant.
- In the companion guide, it is called "Red Weed" in all versions.
- Its description reads, "Red Weed is a simple weed that grows in Magicant, but if you dip it in the fountain in the northwest of Magicant, you get a medicinal plant known as a Magic Herb, which has the ability to recover about half the HP a Hamburger does. The Big Bag has thirty Magic Herbs in it; a Magicantian gives it to you.".
