EarthBound Beginnings
Mother 3 (Relative)

"A good weapon for Ana, with no messy clean up."
— Description

The Non-stick Pan (Abbreviated NonstickPan in EarthBound Beginnings and DX Frypan in Mother 1 + 2) is the second pan found in EarthBound Beginnings. It can only be used by Ana and is exclusively bought for $700 in Youngtown's drugstore, selling for $350. This weapon adds an additional 16 OFFENSE to Ana's base stats.

The Non-stick Pan is generally used for when Ana has leveled up considerably after the Yucca Desert. Ana will usually fight enemies such as the Mook and Kelly outside in the Swamp with it. Once the player eventually acquires the Iron Skillet in Mt. Itoi, it is recommended to simply throw away the Non-stick Pan.

Trivia[]

  • Attempting to leave without it will arguably not be disadvantageous due to Ana's overall damage being mostly from her PSI.
  • Even with the boosts this weapon gives, Ana's FIGHT is usually too low for many players to do significant damage to the majority of enemies.
  • EarthBound's equivalent to the Non-stick Pan is the Non-stick Frypan equipped by Paula in Winters's drugstore for $1490. It offers +50 Offense, significantly more than Ana's. Mother 3's equivalent are the Sevolg equipped by Kumatora in a recurring location. It offers +35 Offense, also significantly more than Ana's. Unlike in EarthBound Beginnings, Paula's and Kumatora's base damage output are far stronger, making the Non-stick Frypan & Sevolg do exceptionally more overall damage than the Non-stick Pan; although both Paula and Ana are still the weakest compared to all other members when it comes to physical damage.
  • In the companion guide, it is called "Good Frying Pan" in Mother, "Non-stick Pan" in EarthBound Beginnings, and "Deluxe Frypan" in Mother 1 + 2, making the name varied in all versions.
    • Its description reads, "You can get this at the JACK Shop too. This one is five millimeters thick, so its impact force is that much greater. If you're cooking a steak, we recommend going with this pan.".
