The Meteorite piece is an item in EarthBound. It is a material that is harvested from meteorites, more formally known as Zexonyte, that allows Dr. Andonuts to complete the development of the Phase Distorter 3. The Meteorite piece can be obtained from the meteorite resting in the mountains of Onett, after the defeat of Ness's Nightmare in Magicant.

- When first mentioned, Dr. Andonuts explains that he clearly remembers Zexonyte from a meteorite that had crashed when he was a child. However, when the player shows the collected meteorite piece, Andonuts says that he had never seen it before.
- In Mother 2, the Meteorite piece was instead referred to as "Material XYZ", quite possibly a reference to the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.
