The Giant Step is the first Your Sanctuary location in EarthBound.
Background Information[]
It is located beyond a cavern in Onett, and is guarded by the Titanic Ant. As per its name, the location is marked by what the game describes as a giant footprint that only a big-footed creature could make.
After defeating the Sanctuary Guardian, Ness envisions a small, cute puppy shortly before gaining the first of the Eight Melodies. A policeman tells you to go to the police station after leaving the cave.
