"The Ghost of Starman uses Starstorm Alpha as its chief attack. Paula's Psych Shield will help fend off the attack. Use Multi-Bottle Rockets and other regular attacks to defeat the alien."

Trivia[]

  • Ghosts of Starmen seem to serve as successors to the Blue Starmen in EarthBound Beginnings, as they are the second-strongest members of their species and attempt to prevent the protagonists from reaching the final area of the game.
  • Some believe that the Ghost of Starmen enemies are the same Starmen that Ninten defeated in EarthBound Beginnings.
  • In the EarthBound Player's Guide, a tip regarding the enemies fought in Onett later in the game claims that the Ghost of Starmen are capable of dropping items such as Jeff's Multi-Bottle Rockets, but in the final game, it is only capable of dropping the Goddess Ribbon.
  • The Ghost of Starman is called "Starman's Ancestor" in Japan, and at one point was going to be called that in the English version.
  • At the end of every battle, it has a 1/128 chance of dropping the Goddess Ribbon, Paula's best ribbon in the game.
