Mother 3 is great because its a nintendo game so you expect it to be very lighthearted and its an earthbound game so you expect it to be funny and weird and it is but at the same time its actually just nazi references so you just become an emotional wreck like "damn this was not a funny haha game" and cry for 5 hours

We know that earthbound was released in 1994, and the game itself takes place in the 1990s, meaning it also probably takes place in 1994 or around that year, and since ness is already 12 that means he'd be 24 by the year 2006, which is mother 3's release year, and if we assume the game takes place in 2006 then that means it'd be a 24 year old in a relationship with a 13 year old.
