Your Name, Please is a song from EarthBound. Its name represents the naming screen. The song only plays three times in the game: first, when naming Ness, Paula, Jeff, Poo, King, Ness's favorite food and favorite thing; second, when Tony calls you to ask for your name in Summers; and third, in Tenda Village when the Tenda Elder requires you to confirm your name.

Trivia[]

  • In MOTHER 2, the first time it asks for your name with Tony, you input your name in Katakana (general English characters). Since not everyone in Japan is good with Katakana, the second time it asks for your name with the Tendas, it allows you to type in Hiragana (traditional Japanese).
  • One of the samples used is Shigesato Itoi saying "Ok desu ka?". Hirokazu Tanaka, one of the main composers of the game, tricked him into saying it after he hid a tape recorder. This sample was used again in the Mother 3 naming menu.
  • The beginning of the theme features a sample taken from John Phillip Sousa's "Liberty Bell March", best known as the theme song of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
